If you’re a student you should all know the annoyance of being bombarded with flyers. There you are walking to the lecture you’re already late to, when 5 people try to hand you of bunch a leaflets all at once. Sometimes you might have your hands full. Other times you’re in a rush. However, most of the time you DO NOT want a flyer. Well fear not, we’re here to give you a guide on how to avoid flyer people.
First of all, you could go for the simple approach & say a polite “no thank you”. On the other hand, there are some days where you don’t feel like being polite. It could be due to having a long day at university, or more than likely, being hungover. So what else can you do? Here are our top 5 tips:
- Avoid all eye contact
- Pretend to be having a lovely conversation on the phone with your mum (this works excellently)
- Text all of your friends at once (another corker)
- If you’re with a friend, pretend to have a very deep conversation
- Wear headphones & bop your head
And if none of these work, you aren’t doing it right.
