If you’re a student in Lincoln, chances are you’ll have heard all about this thing called Superbull that happens every Friday night at Moka/Pulse.
Within the first hour or so of being in the place, you’re highly likely to encounter a photographer, closely followed by someone dressed as a bull that just so happens to be wearing a Superman costume (hence the name, Superbull). And remained this way, even after a refurbishment. The floor in this place is famous for being extremely sticky. So, if you’re lucky enough, you may be able to cross the room (still wearing both shoes) and get yourself in a picture. You’ll then be able to see how drunk you were when your friend tags you in said photo the following day.
The rest of the night can be spent bopping along to the latest chart tunes and classics from the childhood of an average 90’s child. These include tracks by Five, Spice Girls and S Club 7, plus the chance to practice your Macarena.
Superbull has been the cause of many a sore head over the years. This is mainly down to the fact that vodka mixed with an energy drink is the cheapest drink on offer. It’s a measly £1.20 for a single, or £2 for a double. Add £4 entry (if you remember your student card) and you’re set for a bargain of a night.
You’re likely to spend the next few days trying to remove the stamp from your left wrist. (ProTip: instead of spending ages scrubbing your arm to remove, simply use a dry towel on your arm after a shower).
