What To Expect From Engine Shed

Engine Shed is Lincoln’s biggest live music venue (and it’s practically on your doorstep, lucky you).

For most, Engine Shed is one of the first nights out you’ll go on in Lincoln. Turning up every night during freshers to meet other newbies, but after the first week, what can you expect from Engine Shed?

As if big name bands, comedians and DJ sets and Zane Lowe weren’t enough, every Wednesday night you can shuffle on down to Shuffle. Entry starts from £3 and is often a favourite club night for many of the university societies. Sometimes Shuffle is even themed, recently everyone donned their stripey jumpers, hats and glasses to make a real life version of Where’s Wally.

If a ‘rock and roll party’ is more your thing, Propaganda might take your fancy. Lovers of indie music flock here every Saturday (sometimes in fancy dress to follow the theme of the week). Propaganda is often a good opportunity to see a DJ set or a band too, as there are frequently guest appearances.

Unlike other clubs, there is very little seating for when you fancy a break from dancing (but more space for you to dance in as a result). There’s also an unusual toilet set up, with the hand washing area  containing round, trough like sinks that are used by both males and females.

So with so much happening, when Tower Bar closes, head next door for a cheap, fun night at Engine Shed, you can find out what’s happening when at www.engineshed.co.uk
