What to Expect: Home

If you read the title of this article and questioned what “Home” is, then you clearly have no clue. Well read further and you shall learn more…

Home is one of Lincoln’s largest clubs. It boasts six rooms upon three or four floors (no matter how many times you go you will NOT remember, even if sober), and plays an array of music.

Most people usually walk down to the bottom floor first, which is named The Studio. This room takes you back in time with its retro flashing dancefloor, mirrored ceiling and hits that range from the 60s to 90s. You can “boogy it on down” to the Fresh Prince of Bel Air then have a good sit down. The Studio has two or three large black leather booths to rest your sore feet.

If you prefer the recent chart toppers, head up to the top floor. The Mezzanine room, as Home puts it themselves, is “the heart of the venue”. It’s far more spacious than The Studio (literally it’s the size of a small palace). At one side of The Mezz is the humongous stage where you can “shake your booty” to the crowds (although no one will really be watching). Whereas at the other side is the DJ booth, where sometimes occasional TOWIE and MIC stars will guest DJ. Oh how wonderful…

The best nights at Home are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Union is the biggest student night on a Tuesday, whereas Entourage says it will give Thursdays “your weekly dose of glamour”.

With drinks from £1.50 and four other rooms to explore, what’s not to love about Home?  Find out more.
