As December approaches, television schedules rapidly fill up with films people think you might want to watch (if you’re not too busy preparing for Christmas that is). On Saturday, a film saga you’ll almost definitely want to watch will be aired once again.
ITV have made the popular decision to show the Harry Potter films in order in the run up to Christmas (who doesn’t love films about a school full of witches, wizards and other wonderful creatures).
Yes, just about everyone in the world has seen most (if not all) of these films many a time. A lot of you will probably even have them on DVD, hidden away on a shelf or in a box somewhere.
But who doesn’t love watching a film they could watch in their own time, at a time more convenient to programme organisers? Plus you’re guaranteed to get something no DVD can bring you – adverts.
So if you feel like a Harry Potter marathon, this might be the perfect option for you. Whilst being thoroughly entertained, you’re also likely to find yourself noticing how much the actors seem to grow up between films, (who knew Neville Longbottom would end up looking so good?)
The first one, (Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone) airs on Saturday 30th November 2013 at 3.15pm. With the Chamber of Secrets being shown the following week, and the rest presumably for the next few weeks.
So tune into ITV for almost 3 hours of magic.
