What To Expect From Café Zoot Restaurant

In uphill Lincoln, there’s a cosy little establishment named Café Zoot.

Unlike the name suggests, it is in fact a restaurant.

There are only a few tables, beautifully dressed with crisp white table cloths, it’s a lot more fancy than we’re used to.

It’s difficult to label what food this restaurant serves, there’s plenty of pasta and seafood dishes. But then there’s chicken, beef and duck served with potato and sauces. But at  Café Zoot, it’s so much more. A few things have fancy names, like ‘Filet De Manzo’, so it might take you a while to choose.

I eventually opted for a lovely Chicken and Bacon Pasta Carbonara (boring I know), but it was really creamy. As a Carbonara enthusiast, it was definitely up there as one of the best I’ve had.

Once you’ve ordered, but before your starter, you’re presented with a basket of crusty bread rolls and a little tub of butter, that looks like it’s been put in there using a piping bag. I almost felt like I was at a wedding, (minus the free champagne, boring speeches and mums crying).

Now, I bet you’re all thinking you need a bank loan, (or a bigger overdraft) to afford this. Wrong. Café Zoot offer a starter and a main, on an evening meal, for only £11.95. Definitely worth it considering the quality.

The place is well decorated, (although one of the light fittings closely resembles a coat stand, see above) and creates a lovely, relaxed environment, perfect for a meal with friends, a lover or your parents when they come to visit.

You can find all the details on the Café Zoot Restaurant website.
