Rock Paper Scissors, go.
No.
This article isn’t about the popular decision making game often played by indecisive folk. It is in fact a café with a bit of a twist in Lincoln’s city centre.
What’s the twist? Well, as well as being a café, it’s also a self-confessed ‘crafterie.’ This basically means that as well as serving cake and hot beverages, lessons in various craft making skills can be had.
They regularly combine these features. Craft workshops take place every so often and teach anything from knitting to book making (presumably not the gambling type)!
From today, various Christmas craft workshops will also be taking place over the coming weeks. With Christmas still almost two months away, this is for those eager folks (Yes, they do exist…somewhere.)
The café element is also quite unique. Selections of fresh, home-made cakes are served daily as well as a huge selection of leaf teas and that. The selection of tea isn’t the only thing that’s huge, either… The teapots usually fill around three cups. Three cups of tea for a very cheap price is obviously great, but can mean you may end up spending more time in the cafe’s loo than in the actual café.
Aside from this, Rock Paper Scissors has a warm, friendly, and welcoming feel to it. It’s almost as if you’ve stepped into an older relative’s living room. If you’re lucky, you may also encounter a local dog, as they sometimes pop in there for a bit of crafty chilling, too.
