It’s 2004 and you’re at some form of school disco, thinking you’re super cool in your Burberry or Daisy Dukes or whatever. Anyway, blasting out of the speakers is Air Hostess by Busted.
These guys unfortunately broke up quite some time ago (I know, I know… devastating).
But now, they’re back. Yay! (We are seeping with enthusiasm here).
Well, kind of.
It’s just over a week since they announced they were becoming one, a ‘supergroup’ apparently, with pop sensations McFly. This will see them taking to the stage next year for a full UK tour, and they’ve even hinted at a potential album following this. (Whoopee)!
The main flaw is the lack of Busted’s Charlie Simpson in the new supergroup which was seen in their first live performance together during Children in Need. It really didn’t feel like Busted’s two remaining members were adding anything “spectacular” to McFly. Whilst Charlie did have attention absorbing eyebrows, his voice made the band. Him not being there is a bit weird.
It’s even been reported that Charlie had to be bought out of the band, as he owned a third of the name. How can you own a third of a name is a bit beyond us, really! Perhaps Charlie owned the end of it. And without the ‘ed,’ they’d just be Bust, right? McBust sounds a little bit dirty really, so it’s very wise…
Anyway, it looks like there’s an exciting year ahead for the boys.
They’ll be releasing their first collaborative single ‘Love is On the Radio’ on Sunday (you can watch it below). Go McBusted!
