30 Rock…A Comedy TV Show That’s Not About Rocks

Need laughter? Desperate for procrastination?  Finished watching Breaking Bad? Is that three yeses? Then we have the ideal show for you! It’s true, we do. Its 30 Rock, created by and starring Tina Fey.

30 Rock is about a writer called Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) who runs a show called TGS on NBC. She gets a new boss called Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) and a new actor called Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan…last name rhymes, didn’t they put a lot of thought into that) changing the show’s name to TGS with Tracy Jordan. Liz needs to try and run a successful show whilst dealing with Jack, Tracy and the rest of the production crew’s shenanigans. At the same time she tries maintaining her ‘somewhat’  social life.

If that doesn’t get you thinking, “Hm…Sound’s quite fun.” Then here are some facts provided by IMDB (the most trust worthy source that isn’t Wikipedia).

  • Won 6 Golden Globes.
  • Loads of Primetime Emmy Awards. (…maybe like a few as you can tell we didn’t count. It’s not our job).
  • And other ‘important’ awards. (That we don’t care about).

And if that doesn’t help either, in that case here is some life advice from Liz Lemon herself.

“Okay, here’s a little bedroom tip. Put a bag of popcorn in the microwave beforehand. That way, when you’re done you have a treat!”
