Sugarcubes…Don’t Judge A Book By It’s Cover

Sugarcubes is Lincoln’s finest alternative club…well Lincoln’s only rock club. It’s also known as Cubes.

Here is the low down on Cubes…

The outside is not appealing at all. The walls are plain and painted black with the sign Sugarcubes, it’s just your basic “cool” looking rock club….your only basic “cool” looking rock club.

Yeah, you’ve heard the rumours that its filthy, you will get aids  etc…it’s all lies. People just judge a book by its cover. It’s actually decent, it doesn’t look fancy or is over-priced like Home or Lola Lo. It’s Cubes. They have two floors and only open one unless it’s a special night like Halloween or Fresher’s week.

They have a mini stage on the dance floor which people like to go on and dance…and make out because that’s all we (the single people) need to see on the stage. (Thanks, folks)!

The staff are quite friendly, as long as you’re nice, they’re nice.

Tuesday’s are the student nights with £1 entry and they play a mix of rock and mainstream pop.

Friday’s & Saturday’s are £1 before 11:30pm and then after that it’s £3. If you prefer rock and metal these are the nights for you.

If you want to drop off your coats or bags, it’s £1 an item.

Before I forget you can always request some songs. They always play my request, Taking Back Sunday – Cute Without The E.
