What’s On The BBC This Christmas?

If you need a little guide on what to watch this Christmas, we have the best, hand-picked shows we think you should watch.  BBC has to be the one we all put on because they have NO ADS! NO ADS! (Unlike those other channels).

So what will be on Christmas Eve I hear you ask? Well these are our picks.

Mr Tumnus a character from C.S Lewis's Narnia. He is played by James McAvoy and is half human and half faun. He wears a red scarf and carries two brown packages tied by string. His bottom half of the body is of a faun as well as his ears and facial hair. The face and top half of his body is human.

Even Mr Tumnus (James McAvoy) wants to know what BBC is showing this Christmas too.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe  (1:30pm, BBC 1). C.S Lewis’s (the author that wrote the book) instant Christmas classic should always be played during the Christmas festive. It’s about four kids going into a magical wardrobe and entering the world of Narnia, a magical place where animals talk and James McAvoy is a half human and half faun. What else could you ask for? … Except for a magical wardrobe to take you away from those nutty people you call family.

“Dory?” “I shall call him Squishy. And he shall be mine!” You guessed it folks, Finding Nemo  (5:55pm, BBC 1). Oh Dory, I wish had a friend like you  that is as forgetful as you or not? But this is simply another Disney classic to watch.BBC what are you doing with all these great Disney films being played one after another. You are stealing our hearts away and giving us the Christmas spirit.

Now moving on, here is a programme suited for all family members…maybe not kids, but the gorgeous Jack Whitehall’s show Backchat with Jack Whitehall And His Dad Christmas special (9:45pm, BBC 3). We have guests such a Lee Mack, the very cool Baroness Trumpington, Nigel Havers, Christine Bleakley, Jean Barker, Kriss Akabusi, Jack’s Mum and the cast of Bad Education. How epic is that sounding right now? Pretty epic.

Christmas Day

As for any patriot of the country, we do have a show we recommend for you. The Queen (3pm, BBC 1).  She will be giving Her  Christmas speech. This could go down in history as the greatest moment in time. Please, please tune in.

It’s time to get comfy in those seats. Don’t change the channel. Lock your doors. Turn off your phones. Take a deep breath, Toy Story 3 (3:40pm, BBC 1) will be on. Queue the excitement. The toys are sent off to a day-care centre when Andy leaves for college. Without giving too much away, the toys try to escape to go back home. Just don’t forget the tissue boxes, there will be a lot of feelings… a lot of feelings!

Now it’s the time we all have been waiting for. (Or just me and any Doctor Who fan). Doctor Who: the Time of the Doctor (7:30pm, BBC 1). The time that Eleven dies and we say our goodbyes to Matt Smith but welcome Peter Capaldi. This will be an emotional roller-coaster. Tissue boxes will be very, very close by and iPlayer will be open just to experience it all over again.

Enjoy our fine hand picked shows, but don’t forget to see what we have chosen for ITV, Channel 4, Five and those other channels.
