DIDYOUWATCHSHERLOCKTHISWEEKEND!? Okay, take a deep breath and let me reiterate that. Did you watch Sherlock this weekend? We know! OHMYGOD!!!! Before you carry on reading this, we will warn you that it will be full of spoilers of series 3. This is elementary, my dear Watson.
DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME?
Series 3 has maintained the standards of the previous series. Even though it is only 3 episodes, each just being less than 90 minutes long, it is definitely worth your time.
2 years after series 2…
DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME?
We get series 3! Thank you Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss…finally! We found out how Sherlock survived the fall. We personally would have liked him to turn into Smaug and fly away into the Misty Mountains….(you don’t get the reference do you? It’s The Hobbit. Benedict plays Smaug too…duh)!
Moving on, we see John has a big moustache that ages him considerably but he has someone new in his life, Mary. We see John and Mary marry and Sherlock be the best man. Also Sherlock organises John’s stag do. Let’s just say two of the members of this group would like to go on a “piss up” with Sherlock and have tea with John.
DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME? DID YOU MISS ME?
Series 3, also introduced the vile- black mailing Charles Augustus Magnussen, who died in the end. The series kept us on the edge, it made us laugh and tear up. It also focused on character development, giving us insight to who John, Sherlock and Mycroft really are after two years. But what did we really see in the end? And what speculation can we do for series 4?
Predications for series 4:
- Sherlock and Mycroft have another sibling. Mycroft mentioned it in the end, maybe they will shed some more light on this. The books have hinted but never named.
- Is it Moriarty? How did he survive? Remember the conversation in The Reichenbach Fall (S2E3)
Moriarty: You know when he was on his deathbed, Bach, he heard his son at the piano playing one of his… pieces. The boy stopped before he got to the end.
Sherlock Holmes: The dying man jumped out of bed, ran to the piano and finished it.
Moriarty: Couldn’t cope with an unfinished melody.
Maybe there is some sort of hint we have missed. - Mary could be a villain?
- Mary will die in childbirth, it happened in the books.
- Going back to series 2, Moriarty didn’t die because he had a twin or someone that looked very much like him die.
This has to be one of the BBC’s finest shows around. ALSO (this is the final thing, promise) thank you Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, just don’t bloody take two years again (because we really will miss you this time). (FINAL FINAL FINAL THING, PINKY PROMISE) please make Moriarty’s return very very clever that’s all we ask for.
If you haven’t watched it, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIFE!? WATCH SERIES 3 ON BBC iPlayer. SERIES 1 AND 2 CAN BE FOUND ON NETFLIX. Jeez, people really don’t know how to live their lives today.
