Where is La Trattoria Da Vincenzo? Well here it is on Google Maps. 4.7 stars and it’s reviewed by 8 people! They can’t be wrong.

Yeah, we can’t pronounce it either, we just call it that Italian Place on West Parade. Or you can try it with a fake Italian accent like Luigi from The Simpsons (just don’t be a racist about it) or let Google Translate do the hard work. (Click on the speaker button).

Doing a bit of research, we found out they do actually help you pronounce it on their website, La traht-to-ree-ah. La Trattoria means Italian restaurant and Da Vincenzo means by admin and also the head chef’s name. So far the name it works, because no one but us will go into all this effort to figure it out instead of writing a “proper” food critic review like the professionals do.

By meaning we, I mean I have eaten here myself so I do have a validated opinion on this place and we’re not making shit up yet. This little Italian restaurant is literally big as your downstairs of your house, with small tables everywhere covered in white cotton table cloths (the good kind)  and candles in the middle for that romantic feeling between you and your company. Then you can’t help but start to feel like love is in the air (between you and four others at the table simultaneously). Let’s say the decor helps, it is very Italian with drawings of two naked babies with cupid wings painted on the walls either sides of the special menu board, it just makes you look twice.

On the other hand, the food. OH GOD THE FOOD! It’s all freshly made from the pasta to the sauces to the meat right down to the pizzas. If you want proper home-cooked Italian food, La Trattoria Da Vincenzo is the place not Ask Italia. This restaurant uses freshest ingredients and just oozes with passion and love.
